The Rhode Island Red Hens are Rhode Islands state bird. They came from little town called Little Compton. The Rhode Island Red Hens are famous for their meat and their delicious eggs.The Rhode Island Red Hens lay big brown eggs.

Did you know that there is a monument to the Rhode Island Red? This type of chicken was bred in the village of Adamsville in Little Compton, Rhode Island. That is where you can find the monument today. It is a granite stone with an image of the chicken on it. There is an inscription on the monument.
