***Rhonda Rhody's Rhode Island Ramble***

***Costa Rica***

In June 2005, Wanda had a wonderful opportunity to travel to the country of Costa Rica in Central America, with Auntie Doctor Kate and other Pediatricians from Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Costa Rica is a fascinating country with beautiful beaches, a real rain forest, and even volcanoes. And, Wanda got to see it all!

Just look at the pictures below to see all of Wanda's adventures. If you click on the pictures you can make them larger to have a better look.

Here I am relaxing on the beach. I bought a magnet for Mom!

Meet the doctors.

After sunbathing, it is lovely to just relax in a hammock on the edge of the rain forest

Or, you can enjoy listening to the music.

We went on a river cruise. Yes, that is an alligator! I was really careful to stay completely in the boat.

We took this bridge all the way to the top (or canopy) of the rain forest.
It was a long walk.

Can you spot me on the bridge?

I go so excited I almost blew off! Good thing Doctor Nama was there to save me.

II met some special friends with
wings - hummingbirds.
Their wings move so fast
you can hardly see them.

Here I am with my Auntie,
Doctor Kate.
Have you ever seen such a lovely waterfall?

Another trip we took was to
a Costa Rican Coffee Farm.

This is what coffee looks like
when it is growing .

My Goodness! The plants here can be really huge.

Our final adventure was visiting a real volcano! Can you see the crater.

There is so much steam, I bet you can hardly see me.

You can learn more about Costa Rica by visiting the Costarican National Chamber of Tourism.
